The region's commercial property market will receive a lift when one of the biggest property shows in the North takes place in Gateshead this month.

"Whether businesses are hoping to invest in new premises, approaching the end of a lease or simply want to know more about finance and support available, this event will provide all the advice they need to get the wheels turning.

This year's show will bring together agents, developers, landlords and a comprehensive selection of support services to drive deal making and make certain businesses have access to all the advice and support they need under one roof.

Organised by Tyne and Wear Development Company, the show aims to connect growing businesses with commercial property professionals and business support agencies to help drive the local market.

The show will also feature a number of keynote presentations for businesses by leading professionals.

International property group, Goodman, has been a strong supporter of the property show for several years.

The event, which has been running for over 10 years, will showcase Tyne and Wear's unique portfolio of properties and all of the latest opportunities for businesses in the region.

Niall McGilp, regional development director for Goodman, said "Without doubt the Tyne and Wear Commercial Property Show is one of the leading events in the North of England and we're delighted to continue our association with the event.

Sarah Gibson, marketing officer at Tyne and Wear Development Company said: "The property market across Tyne and Wear and the rest of the UK generally is still challenging but there are some excellent deals and opportunities out there.

"It's a great showcase and an incredibly useful opportunity to make new contacts.
